Wow, Things Do Change!

A Digital rendering of what it may look like after it's makeover!

A Diamond in the rough!!

Well it's been a long while since I've been on my blog. I'm really sorry, but since before Thanksgiving my husband and I have had some big changes going on. We moved (which is a whole other story and a long one). I know that's the kind of thing I should share with everyone and I will try harder in the future to do that, but sometime (most of the time) when something major happens I just sort of go into a hiding mode.
Anyway, the good thing is that I'm opening a shop! Yes, yes yes! a cute little Gallery and shop in Prescott, Arizona. Named appropriately, Susie Scott Studios- La Petite Galerie. This all happened rather fast so I'm still getting adjusted, but I am finding that this is a very cool little area. I will write more about that later.
Back to the shop. Here are a couple of pics. A diamond in the rough right now. But, oh....the possibilities! My studio is going to be part of the shop. So I will be working on my art and other fun things right in the store. The look and feel will be....what else....Pretty and Girlie and Glittery....
Kind of shabby with chippy painted things. My Original art, Recycled Treasures, Jewelry, French Soaps, Hand-Poured Candles, etc. etc.
And.........another huge plus....My Husband and I will be able to live in an apartment upstairs!!

I'm going to go for now, I'm out and about finding more treasures. I will keep you posted. Promise!

Warm regards,

Susie

  2. Well there you are! Last I heard you fell and bumped your head. :) Wondered if you would every recoup from that one! So, jabs aside since you PROMISED to be around a bit more...oh did I do that again. Ha, silly me. Seriously though Susie, you are one of those people who can take a little of not to much and turn it into quite a statement. Now you are going to have to show us process pictures of the building. I know you are going to come up with something wonderful and What a blessing that you got this place. Living and working in the same place, hows that for a little recession safety? They are gonna love you there, as much as we love you here. Stay strong, beautiful and creative. No holes for a while...k? Much love to you this week, Cherie

  9. Hi Susie: Seem to correspond with Don more than you, but think of you often and the shoppe/studio. I knew you would do it, just took a little longer than expected--with all the set backs etc. Hope you are both mended now. You and Don are in our thoughts and prayers. Much success to you and "The Red Door..." Have a Blessed Christmas season. Love Ya, Dee
