Overwhelmed!

I have to say.....I am..........a....little......overwhelmed today! This is not how I planned this, really. If I'd had my choice, I would have done this move in an organized and systematic way (does this really happen.....ever??).
As I told you before, this all happened kind of fast and then I broke my ankle, got sick....wah wah wah.....
Anyway, you take help when it is offered. Don't get me wrong I am eternally grateful for loving and willing friends that helped (and continue to help) with this never ending move. But............all the boxes didn't really get packed and labeled like I wanted. Product for the shop and years of art and craft supplies are here and there and.....here...and there.....and here and there....ugh.
Good thing is, and there is always a good thing, I should be more organized and optimized and every other kind of mized (new word) than I have ever been!! Yay and hallelujah! So besides the shop being Bee-U-Tee-Ful, I should be more creative, right.... right?
Okay, back to work. Will write more later.

PS. I forgot to mention that while California was getting hit with storm after storm (I was there for the Gift and CHA shows (craft and hobby assoc.) Prescott had it's share as well. While Prescott was experiencing more than 8 inches of snow and 5 inches of rain in one day, my husband Don was experiencing a small deluge of water coming into the store. Luckily with a little help he was able to avert disaster. However, we are still trying to dry out!!

Just A Little Late!!

I really needed a tripod to get these night shots , but you get the idea.

It was really so much prettier

I had hoped to have my shop open for Christmas, but....well....things happened. However, I found out after moving here to Prescott, that Prescott is known as the "Christmas City of Arizona". And it is!! The old town Courthouse Square is decorated with, what has to be, thousands of lights!! All the trees in the old square glitter and sparkle in festive adornment. For weeks there is one event after another, and..... it seems, that most of the shops do their part and decorate with wild abandon! I'm sorry I missed it, but am looking forward to next year already!! Prescott doesn't know this yet but as my Dad always said, " Christmas is what Susie is known for", ha ha. I'm starting already!

Wow, Things Do Change!

A Digital rendering of what it may look like after it's makeover!

A Diamond in the rough!!

Well it's been a long while since I've been on my blog. I'm really sorry, but since before Thanksgiving my husband and I have had some big changes going on. We moved (which is a whole other story and a long one). I know that's the kind of thing I should share with everyone and I will try harder in the future to do that, but sometime (most of the time) when something major happens I just sort of go into a hiding mode.
Anyway, the good thing is that I'm opening a shop! Yes, yes yes! a cute little Gallery and shop in Prescott, Arizona. Named appropriately, Susie Scott Studios- La Petite Galerie. This all happened rather fast so I'm still getting adjusted, but I am finding that this is a very cool little area. I will write more about that later.
Back to the shop. Here are a couple of pics. A diamond in the rough right now. But, oh....the possibilities! My studio is going to be part of the shop. So I will be working on my art and other fun things right in the store. The look and feel will be....what else....Pretty and Girlie and Glittery....
Kind of shabby with chippy painted things. My Original art, Recycled Treasures, Jewelry, French Soaps, Hand-Poured Candles, etc. etc.
And.........another huge plus....My Husband and I will be able to live in an apartment upstairs!!

I'm going to go for now, I'm out and about finding more treasures. I will keep you posted. Promise!

Warm regards,

Susie
