Birthdays!!

Well.....it's my birthday! I'm really not sure how I feel about it. So far not thrilled. Seems like it comes a little sooner every year! Just sort of creeps up on me! Yeah, that's it....creeeepy! It's creepy that I am getting so old. It does not, and I repeat, does not seem right!


It's my husband's Birthday too! Or it was his birthday, two days ago, on the 28th. I made him this card from an old clipping I found in a box and the funny(or sad) thing is, that this birthday ran along the same lines for him. Long story... with an employee that has done some pretty bad stuff that we have to deal with....anyway, In the midst of all of this we will still laugh and find something good. God has a way of turning our Lemons into the best Lemonade!!

Sheryl and Diane had all the nooks and crannies decorated. This was just a small shot of the entry to the show. (Most of my pictures didn't turn out very good) This doesn't really capture it that well, but trust me, it was glittery, sparkly and welcoming....

Glitterfest Today!!

Oh my gosh.....if you are into pink, if you are in to glitter, glitter and more glitter, and scrumptious, foo foo and girly girl stuff, then this is the place for you!
I arrived yesterday in Old Town Tustin, California for show setup and what a lovely bit of chaos!
Every inch is jam packed with amazing work by the most talented and creative of women!! I am a bit scared even....scared but excited too.

Glitterfest 2009 Sneak Peak

Here's a sneak peak of new pieces I am working on for Glitterfest. If you live or are going to be in the area be sure and come by. This will be one sparkly and glittery event. Don't miss it.
It's being held at the Knights of Pythias Auditorium in Old Town Tustin, California, May 16th. Hours are 9 am. til 2pm.
PS. If you have never been to old town Tustin you will love it. It is quaint and evokes an old bygone era right in the middle of Orange County.

I had a great time recently. I was able to attend the Earth Angels Tour de Art show in Costa Mesa, California a couple of weeks ago. The Tour de Art show was put on by Jen O'Conner, from Earth Angels Toys (http://www.earthangelstoys.com/)
I met up with Debrina (Spark the Imagination and Land of Enchantment) and what a sweetie she is. Not only is her work delightful she is too.
The event was held at a great shop- Paris to the Moon ( www.paris to the moon.com ) If you haven't been there you definitely need to stop in. There is eye candy in abundance, packed into every square inch.

Glitterfest 2009 Mixed Media Art Show & Sale

I am excited and I'm working away on new art and shadowbox pieces that I will be exhibiting at the
first annual Glitterfest 2009 on May 16th in old town,Tustin, California. I think the name says it all- Glitter, Glitter and more Glitter! I am honored to be included with such a great group of Women artists and, on top of that, women who appreciate the magic and healing powers ( I think) of Glitter! I mean.....everything is better with a little glitter sprinkled on it, don't you think?

Wow....An Article Now!

I actually have an article published now in the new Somerset Digital Studio Magazine.
Exciting...... But....can't rest on my laurels.... back to work!

New Website

Hi,

I know.... I am so bad about keeping up with my blog. All I can say is I mean to, but.....I get distracted! I am very, very good at getting distracted and getting involved with some "project" and then what do I finally realize!?? I realize that days have gone by and it's been weeks since I posted anything.

I am currently working on my new website and am in the process of getting things uploaded. I also have a lollishop site and etsy and ebay and need to get new work uploaded there as well.

I am trying not to duplicate work on any of these sites, but there may end up being some duplication. Just want to make sure you all find me.
By the way thank you to everyone that has made such nice comments on my work. I may not show it sometimes, but I do appreciate it so much and every single one touches my heart and just......keeps me going. Thank You!!!
